Oaty date slice

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Serves 6 people

Ingredients  

1 Cup rolled oats

1/2 Cup self-raising flour

1/2 Cup raw sugar

2 Tablespoons coconut

1 Tablespoon honey

125g Butter

1 Cup dates, chopped

Directions 

  1. Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut.
  2. Heat dates, butter and honey in a saucepan, stirring until dates are soft.
  3. Pour butter over dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Press firmly into a greased shallow tin.
  5. Bake in a moderate oven at 180C for 20 min
  6. Cut into bars while hot and remove from tin when cold.
